Jared at work.  My baby boy has grown up!

Jared at work.  My baby boy has grown up!

Gardner Grumblings

Jared called on Sunday!!! Yeah!!!  Just when I think I can’t stand it another minute he calls.  PTL.  He needs your prayers.  He is tired and weary and badly in need of a family/friend fix.  He had hoped to be home next week so that part of his leave could be spent with his friends on spring break from VT.  Unfortunately his leave was denied due to a deadline on a major shipment to Afghanistan.  One of the worst things about this delayed leave is that Jared will come home AFTER Sam leaves for basic training.  What is they say about two ships passing in the night?  Please keep him in your prayers.

FP - Austin

From Laura:
“The puppies, the puppies…where are the 15 puppies” is now what I hear in my sleep. Austin has the whole 101 dalmations movie stuck in his head and its been stuck there for four weeks now! Yes, he has been repeating the movie since I let him watch it four weeks ago. My goal right now is to figure out what in the world makes him hang on to some movies and keep replaying and (out loud repeating) them over and over, while he can see other things and not care…pray that God gives me the wisdom for this specific problem. Also, please pray for me to be given an extra portion of strength…I am thanking the Lord that I did not have to shovel snow last week!! I love you all and wish I could hug each of you!

Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the LORD,
the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is inscrutable.
He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired,
And vigorous young men stumble badly,
Yet those who wait for the LORD
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.
Isaiah 40:28-31

FP - Kala

From Laura:
If you asked Kala last week if she was a princess her response would instantly be, “No, I am ‘A’ Kala,” but now, that is a different story.  She is totally into dressing up in her Disney princess dresses and now says, “Yes, I am a princess.”  She is also wanting to wear her church dresses, too.  So cute.  She had some growth spurt “internally” and its just a daily reminder to me that even though it didn’t look like she grew in inches, she did actually in her heart.  My prayer for her this month is that she never forgets that God has given her a princess heart because her Heavenly father is the King of Kings!!

And whoever welcomes a little child like this
in my name welcomes me.

FP - Clayton

Please pray for Clayton as he is out in this weather working to plow/shovel.
He is such a hard worker - willing to do whatever is necessary.
Pray that he is safe and finds a way to get warm periodically.

The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul.  Psalm 121:7

FP - Hannah

Hannah has a full plate this semester with 15 credits, orchestra and her new role as a Spiritual Leader in her dorm.  She had her first experience with an ER visit the other day - when she helped transport an injured student for treatment.  We are SO proud of her and know she is right where God wants her.  Pray for strength and wisdom as she works through this semester and prepares for her mission trip to Africa/France in the spring.

And I will always guide you and satisfy you
with good things. I will keep you strong and well. You will be like a garden that has plenty of water, like a spring of water that never goes dry.

HILARIOUS!

()

FP - Harrison

Unlike Samson, cutting Harrison’s hair, I swear, has made him stronger! ;-)

I find him on my kitchen counter, kitchen table, jumping on the kid’s beds and in the toliet (ugh)! He is so cute and knows when he is in trouble because he turns the charm on big time with his “Scrumpy smile”!! Please lift him up in prayer this month for protection over him, in those moments when I am not hovering over him.

For He will give His angels charge concerning you,
To guard you in all your ways.
